It has been months since the Tamil action drama Mission Chapter 1: Achcham Enbadhu Illaiye was released in the theaters. The movie came out ahead of Pongal on January 12, 2024. Mission Chapter 1 makers have finally announced another OTT platform for the movie. The action drama will arrive on Aha Tamil on April 5, 2024. The streaming platform officially announced the OTT release date via X (formerly Twitter).

Mission Chapter 1 took about two months time to arrive on the streaming giant Amazon Prime Video. The movie’s plot revolves around Arun Vijay’s Guna, who goes the extra mile to save his daughter’s life. The movie’s official synopsis reads, “An Indian man is locked in prison while his daughter needs an operation. He manages to escape during a riot and is chased by the jailer.
Apart from Arun Vijay, the movie boasts an ensemble cast with Nimisha Sajayan and Amy Jackson playing pivotal roles. Iyal, Abi Hassan, Bharat Bopana, Viraj, and Jason Shah also played supporting characters. A.L. Vijay directs the movie, while G.V. Prakash Kumar serves as its music composer.
Despite opening to mostly positive reviews, Mission Chapter 1 failed to mint good numbers at the box office. As per reports, the movie earned less than $1.2 million in the first three days of its release. However, it ended up earning $2.75 million by the end of its first week.
The box office collection of the movie is understandable as it clashed with several other starters. Dhanush’s Captain Miller and Sivakarthikeyan’s Ayalaan were also released on the same date as Mission Chapter 1.
