As Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire is expanding the MonsterVerse, here’s a list of all the monsters that are confirmed to appear in the film so fans can know what to expect.
Every Kaiju/Titan confirmed for Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire
Godzilla and Kong
Obviously, the two titular titans will be the biggest stars of the movie. Godzilla comes back with an even stronger evolved form that makes him glow purple. Meanwhile, Kong is even bigger and uses a gauntlet to smash his enemies.
Skar King, Suko, and the Ape Army
The first trailer of Godzilla x Kong revealed a small ape called Suko, who led Kong to the hidden empire of giant apes within the Hollow Earth. Here, an entire army of these apes follows a King Orangutan called the Skar King.
Shimo
After Kong takes on the Skar King, he also gets attacked by the enormous reptilian Titan, Shimo. Its name is based on its appearance which when translated from Japanese to English means “frost”, “white”, or “cold”. Together, Shimo and Skar King will be involved in a tag team match against Godzilla and Kong.
Scylla
The marketing footage has revealed Godzilla defeating the six-legged insect Titan Scylla. Though not much of this Titan has been seen yet, fans might remember that the red Kaiju briefly appeared at the end of Godzilla: King of the Monsters to bow down to Gojira after the Alpha Titan defeated King Ghidorah.
Warbats
The trailers have confirmed the return of Warbats in Hollow Earth. Two Warbats fought Kong in Godzilla vs. Kong and were brutally killed off. Fans shouldn’t expect them to be involved in any of the battles in The New Empire though.
Mothra
The above TV spots and trailers have already spoiled the return of Mothra. The MonsterVerse’s original Mothra dies in Godzilla: King of the Monsters. But now, Jia and others will help to bring another Mothra to life in The New Empire.
It will be interesting to see which other Titans make a cameo or are briefly mentioned to round out all the monsters in Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire when it hits the theaters on March 29, 2024. Fan-favorite monster Titanus Doug has had a new toy revealed in the official toy line for the movie alongside one for Suko, so it’s likely that he’ll make another appearance too.
