The docuseries is the latest project based on WWE’s search for the future stars of sports entertainment. It revolves around a group of aspiring sports entertainers as they compete against each other in a series of challenges, hoping to become the next WWE superstar. Under the watchful eyes of industry veterans, these aspirants will undergo a rigorous tryout process in Los Angeles before heading to the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida.
In late March 1014, WWE debuted the trailer for the series. In it, Cena, addressing the contestants, says, “I urge you to all figure out why you are doing this. It is not easy. You are all chosen because you are enough. You got to know that you made it.” This effectively sets up the tone of the trailer and likely the series itself.
WWE: Next Gen features several seasoned WWE stars, including Paul “Triple H” Levesque, Michael “Shawn Michaels” Hickenbottom, John Cena, Bianca Belair, Richard “Ric Flair” Fliehr, Ettore “Big E” Ewen, and others.
When is WWE: Next Gen coming out via streaming?
