A new The Fall Guy trailer has been released by Universal Pictures, showing off the explosive action movie led by Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt. The film is set to release in theaters on May 3, 2024.
“He’s a stuntman, and like everyone in the stunt community, he gets blown up, shot, crashed, thrown through windows and dropped from the highest of heights, all for our entertainment,” the official synopsis reads. “And now, fresh off an almost career-ending accident, this working-class hero has to track down a missing movie star, solve a conspiracy and try to win back the love of his life while still doing his day job. What could possibly go right?”

Starring in The Fall Guy with Gosling and Blunt are Winston Duke (Us, Black Panther), Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Kick-Ass, Kraven the Hunter), Hannah Waddingham (Ted Lasso, Hocus Pocus 2), and Stephanie Hsu (Everything Everywhere All at Once, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel).
Filmmaker David Leitch, who was a real-life stunt performer and coordinator prior to becoming a director, serves as a producer on the film with Gosling, Kelly McCormick, and Guymon Casey. Pearce, Geoff Shaevitz, and Glen A. Larson serve as executive producers.
What inspired The Fall Guy?
The Fall Guy is inspired by the 1980s television series of the same name. The script comes from Drew Pearce, who previously wrote and directed 2018’s Hotel Artemis. Pearce also co-wrote the screenplays for 2013’s Iron Man 3 and 2019’s Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw, while he additionally has a story credit for 2015’s Mission: Impossible — Rogue Nation.
