“We have to be super mysterious, but we’ve got – yeah, we definitely have plans, big… BIG plans, and you know… I think we might have a surprise appearance by a character from the film,” stated Simons. While the duo hasn’t provided specific details due to creative reasons, they did reveal that the franchise is only going to expand. Consequently, a second season is expected to be confirmed sooner rather than later.
In Megamind Rules!, Keith Ferguson voices the titular Megamind and is joined by Laura Post, who portrays Roxanne. The additional voice cast includes Josh Brener, Maya Tuttle, Emily Tunon, Talon Warburton, and Scott Adsit, among others.
