tvN recently dropped new pictures from Lovely Runner on their official Instagram handle. Featuring Kim Hye-Yoon and Byeon Woo-Seok in the lead, the series is becoming one of the highly anticipated dramas of 2024.
Penned by the True Beauty writer Lee Shi-Eun, the drama is based on a famous web novel. The time-slip rom-com drama is already creating quite a buzz among K-drama lovers. The storyline revolves around Im Sol, who mysteriously goes back in time to save her ultimate bias, a Korean star Ryu Sun-Jae.
Kim Hye-Yoon plays Im Sol in Lovely Runner, who is an ardent fan of the South Korean star Ryu Sun-Jae. Byeon Woo-Seok portrays Sun-Jae, whose life looks perfect from the outside, but on the inside, he goes through constant turmoil. However, when he meets with a tragic incident, Im Sol mysteriously goes back in time and does everything to save her idol.
Lovely Runner drops new photos ahead of its premiere
Ahead of its release, tvN drops new pictures featuring Byeon Woo-Seok and Kim Hye-Yoon. The photos focus on their first encounter after Im Sol travels back 15 years to 2008. At that time, Ryu Sun-Jae was 19 years old.
The pictures show a 19-year-old Im Sol running toward Sun-Jae and hugging him from behind. She even tears up a little in disbelief to see her star in front of her. However, on the other hand, Sun-Jae gets taken aback by Im Sol’s gesture on their first meeting.
It seems the drama will show a lot of heart-fluttering moments between Byeon Woo-Seok and Kim Hye-Yoon. The production team described, “If 2023 Ryu Sun Jae and Im Sol have a relationship between that of an artist and fan, 2008 Ryu Sun Jae and Im Sol will build a fond narrative through their fate-like love that goes beyond the 15 years, immersing viewers deeply into the story.”
Lovely Runner is all set to premiere on April 8, 2024, at 8:50 p.m. KST on tvN and Viki.
