On Tuesday, March 13, 2024, the official website and Twitter of Mato Kousaka’s I May Be a Guild Receptionist anime revealed its teaser visual, main cast, and staff. The series is based on Mato Kousaka’s light novel of the same name, which was released in July 2021. Later, Suzu Yūki launched the manga adaptation in 2021, contributing to the series’ growing success. After news of its anime adaptation was first announced in July 2023, the latest development sheds more light on the expected release date.

The highly anticipated anime is scheduled to release sometime in 2024. Additional information is expected to be released during Anime Japan 2024. The event will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2024, and will feature Rie Takahashi on stage. The teaser visual showed the protagonist, Alina Clover, who Rie Takahashi will play.
The main staff includes Tsuyoshi Nagasawa, who will direct the anime at CloverWorks, and Misuzu Chiba, who handles the scripts. Yoshihiro Nagata and Shinichi Machida are in charge of character design, while Sakura Create is credited with animation production.
As for the plot, Yen Press describes the series: “Alina Clover thought being a receptionist for the Adventurers Guild would be her ticket to the good life…but her dream gig turns into an overtime nightmare whenever adventurers get stuck clearing a dungeon. To save herself from paperwork, Alina turns to the simplest solution: beating down the monsters herself!”
The synopsis continues, “A mysterious adventurer showing up out of nowhere, soloing the boss, then disappearing without taking credit is bound to create rumors, and Alina’s treasured job forbids side hustles. So there might be trouble when the leader of the Silver Sword party discovers her secret…!”
