According to Deadline, The Time Traveler’s Wife star Eric Bana has been tapped for the leading role in Netflix’s upcoming limited drama titled, Untamed.
This marks the Australian actor’s first major TV project in a long while, after starring in 2018’s true crime anthology series Dirty John. He most recently starred in Robert Connolly’s mystery thriller Force of Nature: The Dry 2, which serves a a sequel to his 2020 movie.
What is Untamed about?
Bana is set to portray the role of Eric Inman, “a special agent for the National Parks Service who works to enforce human law in nature’s vast wilderness,” reads the logline. “The investigation of a brutal death sends Inman on a collision course with the dark secrets within the park and in his own past.”
Described as a character driven mystery thriller, Untamed is a six-episode miniseries written and executive produced by the father-and-daughter duo of Mark L. Smith and Elle Smith. In addition to starring, Bana is also serving as an executive producer alongside John Wells, Erin Jontow, Todd Black, Tony Shaw, Steve Lee Jones and Cliff Roberts.
