The Endless Night is a drama series streaming on Netflix. Gustavo Lipsztein created it from the 2018 book The Endless Night: The Untold Story of Kiss Nightclub by Daniela Arbex. The plot follows the families of the victims of an enormous tragedy as they fight an uphill battle for justice. Season 1, comprising five episodes, debuted on January 25, 2023. Want to know whether there will be a The Endless Night Season 2? Here is what we have found out on the matter.
Here’s all we know about The Endless Night Season 2 and whether or not it’s coming out.
Is there a The Endless Night Season 2 release date?
There is no The Endless Night Season 2 release date as it was created as a limited series.
Netflix designates The Endless Night as a limited series and officially describes it as “a fictional miniseries inspired by the true story of the fire at Kiss nightclub.” In January 2013, 242 people perished in a fire at the Kiss nightclub in Santa Maria, Brazil.
The Netflix series draws inspiration from the harrowing tragedy, though the narrative is considerably fictional. It delves into the circumstances around the tragedy and focuses on the victims’ loved ones as they pursue justice for a decade. By the end of episode 5, the series concludes the story it set out to tell.
The ending doesn’t necessarily offer closure to the viewers. It isn’t supposed to. Instead, it underscores the frustration and pessimism one experiences while dealing with public institutions.
The series follows a talented cast including Bianca Byington as Meire Coutinho Campos (Ana Campos), Paulo Gorgulho as Ricardo Martins, Leonardo Medeiros as Geraldo Alberto Ramos Fontes, Thelmo Fernandes as Pedro Leal, and others.
Why The Endless Night Season 2 might not be happening
The Endless Night Season 2 probably isn’t coming out because, as mentioned above, Lipsztein created the show as a limited series.
ComingSoon will provide an update if Netflix ever decides to make more seasons of the show.
The official synopsis for The Endless Night reads:
“When a fire kills 242 people in a nightclub, all that the victims’ parents can do is mourn… and fight for justice.”
