Hokkaido Gals Are Super Adorable! episode 9 starts with Minami telling Sayuri that she is expecting Tsubasa to do something special for White Day. Tsubasa then arrives and tells them he hasn’t done anything grand but got them gifts.
Meanwhile, Matsuo eavesdrops on them. He approaches Tsubasa, asking how he can apologize to Minami and Sayuri for what he has done to them. Tsubasa tells him to go with a genuine apology. Later, Tsubasa gives them their gifts: milk senbai crackers that he makes with his grandma.
When he gets home, he thanks his grandma for helping him with the crackers. Later at night, Tsubasa receives an invitation from Matsu to go smelt fishing in Lake Abarashi. Upon arriving at the lake, he notices Minami has also come with her family. They then decide to fish together. Tsubasa uses the opportunity to learn more about Minami, including her love for makeup.
Tsubasa catches a cold soon after. Rena and Sayuri check up on him through text messages, and Rena also sends him a bottle of refined water. Later, Minami visits him to take care of him. She gives him mint candy to soothe his throat and holds his hand while he falls asleep. The episode ends with Tsubasa waking up feeling relatively better, with no memory of holding Minami’s hand.
