Molly Wells is a better person in Season 2
The streaming service promised that while Season 1 of Loot was already “perfect,” the upcoming second season will raise the bar higher. In addition to Rudolph reprising her role for Season 2, other returning cast members also include Michaela Jaé Rodriguez as Sofia, Nat Faxon as Arthur, Ron Funches as Howard, and Joel Kim Booster as Nicholas.
Per the official synopsis, the comedy series will pick up “a year after Molly Wells settles her very public divorce from tech billionaire John Novak.” As she continues to thrive in her role as the head of her own philanthropic organization called the Wells Foundation, the new season will see Molly focusing mainly on her charity work without trying to build new relationships with men — or at least for the time being.
“The synopsis added, “Fabulously single but not particularly independent, Molly keeps her trusty assistant Nicholas by her side. He diligently caters to her every whim … and occasionally feeds her a kale smoothie spiked with gin.”
Loot is developed by Matt Hubbard and Alan Yang, both of whom also executive produce alongside Rudolph, Danielle Renfrew Behrens, Dave Becky, and Natasha Lyonne.
The first two episodes of Loot Season 2 will debut on AppleTV+ on April 3, followed by new episodes airing Wednesdays through May 29.
