There’s a short flashback about some of the Jujutsu High adults talking about who the strongest grade 1 sorcerer is. Mei Mei, Nanami, and Gojo mention Kusakabe. Kusakabe says it’s someone other than him or someone named Usami.
The chapter goes back to Maki and Sukuna. Maki avoids another slash attack from Sukuna. The building that was hit earlier starts falling on them. Some cars that were in the building start falling, and Sukuna utilizes it by throwing slashes at them. Maki notices the slashes, defending herself, but is thrown off by the car’s impact.
Sukuna grabs Maki and uses Cleave. Ino shows up and attempts to attack but Sukuna uses his slashes to cancel Ino’s technique. Sukuna notices Ino didn’t have Nanami’s weapon. Kusakabe then attacks Sukuna with Nanami’s cursed technique. Kusakabe realizes Sukuna already figured out their plan.
Maki returns. Even if Yuta survives, if the fight with Sukuna drags on any longer, it will cause more problems. She aims to end it as soon as possible. The narration says that after Gojo’s death, it was Kashimo, Higuruma, and Yuta who entertained Sukuna because of their talent in Jujutsu. However, Sukuna was excited to fight Maki since she discarded her jujutsu in exchange for a Heavenly Restriction.
Maki cuts a pillar and sends it toward Sukuna. Sukuna quickly disappears from his spot and grabs Maki’s face. He commends Maki, telling her she’s not like Yuji. The attack injures Maki’s face. Sukuna mentions how jujutsu is the skin and meat, but Maki’s body is the bone and essence. He says Maki’s existence goes against jujutsu.
He also says their fight will determine if it’s better to polish one’s jujutsu or physical body. Maki realizes Sukuna stopped healing himself. Sukuna then uses Black Flash on Maki. Kusakabe can’t believe he’s the last one standing. He doesn’t believe that he’s capable of killing Sukuna.
