Deadpool & Wolverine’s villain is Cassandra Nova, reportedly played by Emma Corrin.
The Crown actor recently got confirmed as Nova by Deadpool & Wolverine’s official copyright, as per Culture Crave. She was also spotted in the Deadpool & Wolverine trailer.
In the books, Cassandra Nova is the twin sister and dark counterpart of Professor Charles Xavier. But she has multiple abilities compared to her brother. While Professor X is a proven telepath, Nova can do much more than that. She possesses telekinesis and the ability to mimic the DNA of others along with telepathy. But the extent of her involvement in Deadpool & Wolverine isn’t known yet.
Is Cassandra Nova the main villain in Deadpool 3?
Emma Corrin’s Cassandra Nova will likely be the main villain of Deadpool 3.
Back when Deadline announced her to be a part of the film, the outlet revealed that she’d be a villain. So, she can be the main big bad. Similar to Wolverine’s brief appearance, the Deadpool 3 teaser only gave us a small glimpse at her character to shroud her in mystery.
Given that Cassandra Nova is a key X-Men villain who can outpower both Wolverine and Deadpool, she could turn out to be a formidable antagonist. She might be the one orchestrating the events of the film, making the TVA put Deadpool and Wolverine on a multiversal journey.
Deadpool 3 will have plenty of cameos from other X-Men characters. It will also feature multiple variants, such as Samurai Wade Wilson and Patch Wolverine. Deadpool and Wolverine are also supposed to fight each other. Furthermore, Deadpool will also be fighting the TVA. But Corrin’s Cassandra could be behind all that chaos.
