More than a decade since starring opposite Justin Timberlake in Friends with Benefits, Golden Globe nominee Mila Kunis is finally planning her return to the romantic comedy genre.
According to Deadline, Kunis has signed on for the leading role in Skydance’s upcoming romance movie titled The 47 Night Stand. The project is still in the early stages of development.
Who’s involved in The 47 Night Stand?
The 47 Night Stand is written by Emmy-nominated scribe Greg Malins (How I Met Your Mother). It is described as “a fresh and funny take on romance in the tradition of classic favorites.” In addition to starring, Kunis is also set as a producer alongside David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, Don Granger, and Ruben Fleischer. The film is executive produced by Lisa Sterbakov, with Carin Sage tapped to oversee the project for Skydance.
Before returning to the romantic comedy genre with The 47 Night Stand, Kunis will first next be seen in the upcoming comedy movie Goodrich, in which she’ll play the role of Michael Keaton’s daughter. Her most recent acting credit was a guest-starring appearance in the first season of Netflix’s teen comedy spin-off That ’90s Show, where she reprise her breakout role as Jackie Burkhart along with husband Ashton Kutcher.
