AEW Expansion Plans: Another Pay-Per-View Event in the Works?

A potential addition to the AEW pay-per-view lineup is on the horizon, according to sources from Warner Bros. Discovery. Initially known for producing four major pay-per-views annually, Double Or Nothing, All Out, Full Gear, and Revolution, AEW seems poised to expand its offerings in 2024.

Recent reports unveiled AEW’s trademark claim for “AEW Dynasty,” hinting at the possibility of a new pay-per-view or special event. Sources from Warner Bros. Discovery, as reported by Fightful Select behind paywall, suggest that the “Dynasty” trademark is indeed linked to an upcoming pay-per-view or special show.

Set for a potential spring debut, speculation within the promotion circles suggests that “Dynasty” could make its mark as an April event. This would mark a significant milestone for All Elite Wrestling, as the promotion has never hosted a pay-per-view event in April in its five-year history. If the “Dynasty” is coming in April, the addition will come between Revolution and Double Or Nothing, further enriching AEW’s annual calendar of events.

AEW has increased the number of pay-per-view shows in 2023

AEW, renowned for hosting four major annual pay-per-view events, expanded its repertoire in recent years. In 2022, the promotion introduced the collaborative AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door event, breaking new ground in the wrestling world. The following year, AEW continued to innovate by adding All In London, WrestleDream, and Worlds End to its lineup.

Reports now suggest that AEW is gearing up to unveil another pay-per-view event, sparking excitement among fans. As anticipation builds, speculation mounts regarding the venue for this forthcoming spectacle. The addition of another event not only promises heightened entertainment for fans but also underscores the promotion’s commitment to evolving and expanding its offerings. Wrestling fans eagerly await further details, eager to witness the next chapter in All Elite Wrestling’s storied history.

Meanwhile, this weekend, All Elite Wrestling will host its highly anticipated 5th Revolution pay-per-view on March 3. Among the highlights of AEW Revolution is the farewell match of legendary wrestler Sting. Additionally, the main event will feature World Champion Samoa Joe, Hangman Adam Page, and Swerve Strickland. However, the promotion may opt to give the spotlight to Sting, considering it’s his final match in All Elite Wrestling.
