While he is on a mission, a journalist tries to uncover his story during her investigation of a government cover-up. Kavya Thapar plays Teja’s love interest, while Anupama Parameswaran portrays a journalist.
Despite a good start and a successful first weekend, Eagle’s box office numbers saw a massive downfall. As per Sacnilk.com, the movie managed to mint $2.9 million net in India after Day 14. It is now expected to face tough competition from Mammootty’s Bramayugam. The horror thriller’s Telugu version was released on February 23.
Eagle’s rights bagged by ETV Win?
After two weeks in the theaters, details about Eagle’s digital debut are out. According to a report by OTTplay, the movie’s OTT rights have been bagged by ETV Win. Furthermore, the report claimed that the deal was a fancy one and the streaming platform paid a hefty price to the makers.
While the makers of the movie have suffered losses following its poor performance, they have allegedly covered a part of their investments through the OTT deal. For the unversed, ETV Win is a Telugu OTT platform. Owned by Ramoji Rao, the platform has grabbed a lot of attention. Eagle is expected to arrive on ETV Win on March 2. However, an official announcement regarding the same is awaited.
