Judge Dee’s Mystery Ep 21-22 Trailer: Zhou Yiwei Is Surrounded by Enemy Forces

Thriller C-drama Judge Dee’s Mystery released a trailer teasing the upcoming episodes 21 and 22. The drama features prominent actor Zhou Yiwei in the lead role. The original broadcasting networks of the drama are CCTV and Youku. Judge Dee’s Mystery is an adaptation of the novel series “Judge Dee” by Dutch novelist Robert Van Gulik.

In this drama, Yiwei plays the role of Di Renjie, a businessman and country magistrate known for his sharp wit and ability to solve crimes. Mysteries follow him wherever he goes. Furthermore, he is a loyal admirer of Empress Wu Zetian (Zhong Chu Xi). In Judge Dee’s Mystery, the empress dispatches him to a faraway town. He solves crimes to bring peace and uphold justice.

The newly released trailer shows Di Renjie taking an oath to capture Han Yongnan at any cost. He blames himself for killing Han a long time ago and not letting him go. He thinks he is responsible for the deaths of so many people. The magistrate goes out every night to hunt and is thinking about formally proposing to Miss Cao.

Renjie and his companions go to the forest, following a clue, to investigate the case even further. They find many corpses being hung from the trees. Meanwhile, enemy forces attack them with arrows. Renjie receives a riddle that talks about recurring nightmares. He learns about a strange phenomenon called Boqi that can devour dreams. Mysteries intensify around Boqi and Qing Chuan.

Other than Zhou Yiwei in the lead role, Judge Dee’s Mystery also features Wang Likun, Zhong Chuxi, Zhang Jiyayi, Zhang Ruoyun and others in pivotal roles.
