Sara Ali Khan‘s rom-com, Love Aaj Kal 2, is not only a remake of her father, Saif Ali Khan’s popular movie but also boasts of the same old-school romance.
Imtiaz Ali wrote and directed the movie. He also served as a producer alongside Dinesh Vijan.
It also stars Kartik Aaryan, Randeep Hooda, and Arushi Sharma in pivotal roles. Maddock Films, Window Seat Films, Reliance Entertainment, and Jio Studios produced the movie. Love Aaj Kal 2 was released on February 14, 2020.
The movie is a spiritual successor to the 2009 movie of the same name, which Imtiaz Ali also directed. It starred Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone in the lead roles. Love Aaj Kal 2 revolves around two couples, separated by time, who deal with the same societal, familial, and internal dilemmas. The movie was available for streaming on Netflix and Jio Cinema starting April 28, 2020.

Love Aaj Kal 2 Ending: Why did Raj leave Leena?
In Love Aaj Kal 2, Raghu and Leena meet secretly during a flashback. Raghu leaves everything for Leena and moves to Delhi for her, also discontinuing his studies. Later, Zoe walks in on Raj and a woman, assuming she is Leena, but realizes she isn’t. Raj then reveals that he left Leena to fulfill his big-town fantasies.
Later, Mrs. Chauhan convinces Zoe that she cannot have both her love and career together. Zoe then goes to meet Veer’s parents but leaves crying. Veer later tells Raj about what Zoe did, which leaves Raj convinced that he had influenced Zoe to behave this way. He makes up for Zoe for this by getting her the job.
Does Veer leave Zoe?
Zoe sees Veer with another girl a few days later and feels heartbroken. She then hangs out with multiple people but realizes she doesn’t like any of them. So she goes to a bar with a guy and gets drunk, but later, he refuses to drop her at her home. So she reaches out to Veer, who picks her up and drops her at her house. He tells her that he can’t be in a relationship full of compromises and breaks up with her.
The next day, Veer tells Zoe about a new job in the Himalayas and his plan to leave for two years. He also explains that he has as much right to be focused on his career as she does and bids her goodbye. Later, Zoe receives a proposal for marriage from the Mehta family, but she refuses.
Do Veer and Zoe reunite?
When Zoe meets Raghu, he tells her that he met Leena one last time when he realized he wasn’t himself anymore. He also finds out that she is pregnant. So he plans to leave. He expresses how he still misses Leena but is helpless and starts crying while Zoe comforts him. He then advises Zoe not to make the same mistake he did.
At the end of Love Aaj Kal 2, Zoe leaves for the Himalayas to reunite with Veer. She sees Veer sleeping outside and goes up to him to lie on top of him. She tells him that she won’t ever be able to balance love and her work, but she still wants to be with him. Veer asks her whether she will stay with him, to which she agrees, and they reunite.
