The trailer for True Crime Story: Smugshot previews the upcoming six-part docuseries from AMC+ and Sundance, which examines entitled individuals and their crimes.
Smugshot is described as an anthology docuseries. The focus of each episode is on the “unique story of an entitled individual,” according to the synopsis. Their elaborate criminal behavior may range from petty to devastating. However, the events surrounding the crime tend to be very surprising. The docuseries will look at individuals who are in pursuit of revenge or riches, status or glory, freedom or fame. But what each story has in common is that the “law-breakers cling to their entitlement in spite of having more to lose than to gain.” The stories are ultimately of people who thought they could and should get away with it.
