The Two Sisters episode 16 aired on KBS2 on Tuesday, February 13, 2024. Fans of the series have been curious to see what happens in the new episode after the previous one ended on such a dramatic note. Episode 15 saw Bae Do-Eun (Ha Yeon-Joo), aka Lee Hye-Ji, embracing Lee Hye-Won (Lee So-Yeon) after addressing her as a sister.
In The Two Sisters episode 16, viewers see Bae Do-Eun having lunch with the Yoon family. However, Lee Hye-Won’s husband, Yoon Ji-Chang, could not attend the lunch due to his office work. Meanwhile, Lee Hye-Won has to welcome and serve Bae Do-Eun to fulfill Yoon Ji-Chang’s grandmother Kim Myeong-Ae’s orders. However, the big highlight of the episode is Bae Do-Eun announcing a fake pregnancy to Kim Myeong-Ae.
The Two Sisters episode 16: Bae Do-Eun forges pregnancy report
The Two Sisters episode 16 opens right where episode 15 ends. After Bae Do-Eun holds Lee Hye-Won in fear of the pet dog and calls her sister, Lee Hye-Won feels irritated. Bae Do-Eun, aka Lee Hye-Ji, somehow manages the situation and enters the Yoon house. There, she starts to remember her childhood days with her sister, Lee Hye-Won, and becomes emotional.
Episode 16 of The Two Sisters then shows Bae Do-Eun and Yoon Yi-Chul having a conversation with Yoon Yi-Chul’s mother, Kim Myeong-Ae, and sister Yoon Yi-Ra. During their conversation, Bae Do-Eun gives a piece of paper to Kim Myeong-Ae as a gift. It is a medical report that shows that Bae Do-Eun is pregnant. Everyone is surprised by this news, including Yoon Yi-Chul, who does not know about it.
Kim Myeong-Ae becomes delighted after hearing the news and accepts Bae Do-Eun to the family. Thus, it seems like a lot of power is in Bae Do-Eun’s hands. Soon, Lee Hye-Won also gets to learn about it. Following this, they all sit together at the dining table for their lunch. Lee Hye-Won’s husband, Yoon Ji-Chang, was there as he was busy with several works at the office.
Later on, in The Two Sisters episode 16, the audience sees Lee Hye-Won and Lee Hye-Ji’s mother becoming worried after the private detective they have hired to search for Lee Hye-Won does not receive her calls. She is afraid that the detective may run away with their money. Then, the episode shows Lee San-Deul lying on the bed and not going to his restaurant. He is still upset about what happened to him on the street. However, his stepfather tries to encourage him to go to work.
The Two Sisters episode 16 then sees Bae Do-Eun forging the pregnancy report with the help of a medical professional. The episode reveals that she is not pregnant and is faking her pregnancy to gain everyone’s sympathy and Kim Myeong-Ae’s affection.
At the end of episode 16 of The Two Sisters, Bae Do-Eun gets into a heated conversation with Lee Hye-Won at the art center after she asks her to lose one of their trusted artists and teachers from the center. She does this as the artist previously refused to continue to teach her painting due to her lack of talent in the field. However, Lee Hye-Won refuses to let the artist go. The episode ends with Bae Do-Eun coming out of the art center and meeting Lee San-Deul.
