Ahead of its theatrical release next week, Focus Features has released the first Lisa Frankenstein clip from the upcoming horror comedy film starring Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania’s Kathryn Newton as the titular character.
The video introduces Lisa’s family, including her stepmom played by Haunting of Hill House’s Carla Gugino. It teases Lisa’s complicated relationship with her stepmom, who reprimands her for breaking the bathroom mirror. The film arrives in theaters on February 9.

Who’s involved in Lisa Frankenstein?
“The film is about a misunderstood teenager and her high school crush, who happens to be a handsome corpse,” reads the synopsis. “After a set of playfully horrific circumstances bring him back to life, the two embark on a murderous journey to find love, happiness… and a few missing body parts along the way.”
Described as a coming of “rage love story,” Lisa Frankenstein is directed by Williams from a script written by Oscar winner Diablo Cody. The film stars Cole Sprouse, Kathryn Newton, Carla Gugino, Liza Soberano, Joe Chrest, and Henry Eikenberry. It is produced by Cody and Mason Novick, with Jeff Lampert serving as an executive producer and Michelle Momplaisir as a creative executive.
