Oppenheimer Streaming Release Date Set for Peacock

After big wins at the Golden Globe Awards and more nominations as award season races on, the hit Christopher Nolan film Oppenheimer officially has a streaming release date for its Peacock premiere.

The Oppenheimer streaming release date has officially been set for February 16, 2024, when the streaming platform will begin hosting the film. Starting on February 1, 2024, Peacock will also stream a handful of Nolan’s other big movies, including Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, The Dark Knight Rises, Dunkirk, Inception, and Memento.

Oppenheimer released July 2023 and very quickly became a smash hit, earning more than $950 million at the worldwide box office with the film set to pass $1 billion when rereleased into theaters in IMAX sometime this year.

What is Oppenheimer about?

“The IMAX-shot epic thriller thrusts audiences into the pulse-pounding paradox of the enigmatic man who must risk destroying the world in order to save it,” reads the logline.

Oppenheimer features a star-studded ensemble led by Cillian Murphy as J. Robert Oppenheimer, known as the father of the Atomic Bomb. Joining him are Emily Blunt as Katherine Oppenheimer, Robert Downey Jr. as Lewis Strauss, Matt Damon as General Leslie Groves Jr., Florence Pugh as Jean Tatlock, Josh Hartnett as Ernest Lawrence, Benny Safdie as Edward Teller, and Michael Angarano as Robert Serber.

The film is written and directed by Christopher Nolan, based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning book “American Prometheus: The Triumph and Tragedy of J. Robert Oppenheimer” by Kai Bird and the late Martin J. Sherwin. Additional cast includes Dane DeHaan, Jack Quaid, Dylan Arnold, David Krumholtz, Alden Ehrenreich, and Matthew Modine.

Oppenheimer is distributed theatrically worldwide by Universal Pictures. Nolan and Emma Thomas produce through their Syncopy banner, along with Atlas Entertainment’s Charles Roven.
