Brainstorm Media has unveiled the first-look Marmalade photos for the upcoming romantic crime movie starring Stranger Things alum Joe Keery.
The photos provide a glimpse of Keery’s character, Baron, who tries to come up with a plan to escape prison while recalling how he fell in love with the titular thief. The film is scheduled to make its debut on February 9, 2024, in theaters and on VOD.
What is Marmalade about?
“Recently incarcerated Baron (Keery) strikes up a friendship with cellmate Otis, a man with a well-versed history of prison breaks,” reads the synopsis. “As the pair hatch an escape plan together, Baron recalls the story of how he met Marmalade, the love of his life, and their ‘Bonnie and Clyde’ style scheme to rob a bank in order to care for his sick mother and give the couple the life they’ve always dreamed of.”
Marmalade hails from Wedding Crashers alum Keir O’Donnell in his feature directorial debut. Describe as an edge-of-the-seat crime-tinged romance tale, the film will also be led by Aldis Hodge (One Night in Miami) and Camila Morrone (Daisy Jones & The Six). They are joined by Wayne Duvall, Susan Brava, Hans Christopher, Andrew E. Wheeler, and more.
