Starring Kim Young-Dae and Pyo Ye-Jin, Moon in the Day episode 11 aired on ENA on Wednesday, December 6, 2023. With the K-drama nearing its end, the latest instalment had a few big revelations and confessions.
In episode 10, viewers saw Do Ha and Kang Young-Hwa realizing their feelings for each other. The new episode shows Pyo Ye-Jin’s character finding out that she killed Do Ha in the past. On the other hand, the latter decides to drop the plan of ending his curse and now wants to protect Young-Hwa.
Since the beginning of the show, it has been shown that Do Ha’s wife, Ha Ri-Ta, killed him. As a result of which, he wandered for 1,500 as a vengeful spirit to seek revenge and wanted to end the life of Ri-Ta’s reincarnation, Young-Hwa, in the 21st century. But the latest developments in Moon in the Day episode 11 showed why Ri-Ta killed him in the past.
Moon in the Day episode 11 ending: Pyo Ye-Jin’s Young-Hwa is devastated
Moon in the Day episode 11 begins with Young-Hwa (Pyo Ye-Jin) in deep thought after meeting Chul-Hwan (Jung Woong-In). The latter is possessed by Do Ha’s evil father, So Ri-Bu, who wants to kill her.
Do Ha (Kim Young-Dae) brings Young-Hwa home and promises to protect her. She sees the scar on his neck and asks him if his death was painful. She feels uneasy after learning that she killed him, but she hides it from Do Ha. To find the truth, she goes to sleep and discovers the reason for his death in her dreams.
The flashback shows So Ri-Bu telling Ha Ri-Ta about his plans to kill Do Ha. He believes she wants to kill his son, but she is in love with him and thus decides to end her husband’s suffering. Ri-Ta poisons So Ri-Bu and stabs him to death. To protect Ri-Ta, Do Ha goes on a killing spree, which does not sit well with his wife. Following this, she kills Do Ha.
At the end of Moon in the Day episode 11, Young-Hwa is seen devastated when she wakes up. She apologizes to Do Ha and reveals that she knows the truth. The episode ends with a tarot card hinting that their love is the solution to breaking their never-ending curse.
