An adaptation of the manga series of the same name written and illustrated by Dan Ichikawa, My Boss Is Goofy follows Kentarō Momose, who was previously employed at an exploitative company where he was horribly mistreated by his boss. Eventually, he quits and joins a new company. Seeing the reserved demeanor of his new supervisor, Yūsei Shirosaki, Kentarō wonders if his current workplace is any different from the previous one. However, his initial fears are ultimately diminished when he realizes that while Yūsei is extremely competent at his job, he is also goofy and kind to a fault.

“The workplace comedy’s story follows a 26-year-old office worker named Momose. He recently changed jobs after his previous boss harassed him. He’s worried his new boss will also use power harassment to make his life miserable. Momose is trying to hide his anxious stomach when he first meets his new boss Shirasaki, however he’s surprised to find his new boss is such a natural airhead that he eliminates all of Momose’s anxiety.”
