Will Ke Huy Quan’s OB character return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe?
While Ke Huy Quan is optimistic about coming back as OB, it isn’t confirmed to happen yet. However, he could have a small role in multiversal projects such as Deadpool 3, Avengers 5, and 6.
In a recent interview with Variety, the Everything Everywhere All At Once star discussed the possibility of OB’s return. He revealed his conversation with Kevin Feige, saying:
“I haven’t had any conversations [about OB’s future]. I love OB. I love playing him. It makes me so happy that the audience is responding to this character. When I first got the call from Kevin Feige and he asked me to come join the MCU family, I asked him, “Is this a one-time thing? Or are we going to be able to see more of him?” Because I loved him on the pages. And he says, “Ke, we always give what the fans want.”
He continued:
“So I hope the fans like OB enough and I want to see him in more MCU movies and television shows. We will find out, but no, I haven’t had any discussions with anybody yet.”
With the fans loving OB, Feige could surely fulfill their demand to see more of him in future projects.
Movies where Ke Huy Quan’s OB could return
Since the TVA is intact at the end of Loki Season 2, projects like Deadpool 3, Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, and even Secret Wars could involve it and OB in them.
Ryan Reynolds teased the return of Miss Minutes in the past. Furthermore, it is rumored that the TVA will be involved in recruiting prime heroes from the Multiverse in Deadpool 3. Even though OB’s return isn’t confirmed, it is possible to insert him into Deadpool 3 after the fan reaction to his character in Loki Season 2. After all, half of it is yet to be shot.
If not Deadpool 3, then OB could surely be involved in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, which is also expected to involve the Time Variance Authority. But whether he could get a role in Secret Wars remains to be seen.
