The man suspected of committing the 2022 University of Idaho killings, Bryan Kohberger has an associate degree in psychology. He received it from Northampton Community College. Furthermore, in 2020, he received a bachelor’s degree from DeSales University.
According to CBS News, the 28-year-old did his further graduation studies from the very same university. His studies came to an end in 2022. When the suspect was arrested he was a Ph.D. criminology student. Apart from that, Kohberger also worked as a teaching assistant at Washington State University’s Pullman campus. He had just finished his first semester at WSU.
What did Bryan Kohberger do?
On November 13, 2022, Bryan Kohberger allegedly murdered four students from the University of Idaho. The names of the victims were Ethan Chapin, 20, Kaylee Goncalves, 21, Xana Kernodle, 20, and Madison Mogen, 21. The four students lived in a shared rental home which was situated close to where they were studying.
At the time, Madison Mogen and Xana Kernodle lived in the house. Kaylee Goncalves previously lived there. However, she had moved out a few days before the murder and had only returned to attend a party. Ethan Chapin and Xana Kernodle were in a relationship during the time. Ethan was only there for a sleepover.
On the day of the incident, the suspect entered the house and fatally stabbed the four students. According to People, there were two other residents in the house, named Dylan Mortensen and Bethany Funke. Kohberger did not attack them and they were soon ruled out as suspects.
At first, officials believed that the survivors were asleep when the murders were taking place. However, one of them later revealed that she saw the killer. She said that “a figure clad in black clothing and a mask,” walked past her after committing the murders.
