It has only been a week since Doona! premiered on Netflix, but fans of the new South Korean series are curious as to whether or not the show has been renewed for a second season. Doona!’s story revolves around a college student who ends up becoming roommates with a retired but popular K-pop star.

Moreover, it is also too early to speculate when a second season will come out since Netflix is likely waiting on the overall viewership numbers and ratings of the first season before it decides on the series’ future.
Furthermore, while Doona! has scored a spot in the top ten lists of 67 countries, it is yet to reach that list in the United States, thus Netflix is likely waiting for that to also happen before it goes ahead with a second season.
However, another factor causing uncertainty over a Doona! Season 2 possibility is the bittersweet ending of the first season, which offers a conclusion that does not leave many avenues for future stories.
