Why was Justin Roiland replaced in Rick and Morty?
Adult Swim cut ties with Justin Roiland after his felony domestic abuse charges came to light.
According to a criminal complaint, the Rick and Morty co-creator was charged with “one felony count of domestic battery with corporal injury and one felony count of false imprisonment by menace, violence, fraud and/or deceit” in May 2020.
Due to that, Adult Swim ended its association with him. In an official statement, it was stated:
“Adult Swim has ended its association with Justin Roiland, Rick and Morty will continue. The talented and dedicated crew are hard at work on season 7.”
