The popular actor-director duo of Vijay Deverakonda and Parasuram Petla are back with a new film, Family Star.
To announce the superhit collaboration, actor Vijay Deverakonda shared a glimpse of the film. The film is expected to be an action-drama with a hint of comedy. The film also stars Mrunal Thakur in the lead role, as Vijay’s wife. The actor-director duo’s most recent project was Geetha Govindam in 2018.

Family Star Starring Vijay Deverakonda, Mrunal Thakur set to release on Sankranti 2024
The teaser released by the makers opens with Vijay Deverakonda sitting in front of a goon, surrounded by his henchmen. He is mocked by the goon for being a non-masculine person who simply shops for veggies and looks after kids.
Vijay Deverakonda then stands up and answers, walking towards a pile of steel bars laid near them. He says, “Why can’t a man buy onions or take care of children? Is that not masculine enough or will I only be masculine when I bend this steel bar?” along which he starts bending a steel bar placed there. The film’s title appears as he struts away but is attacked by a henchman. Mrunal Thakur also appears for a moment and the title teaser ends with a background score.
The title teaser for Family Star shows Vijay Deverakonda as a cool family man, setting the premise of the story. The film will also feature music composed by Gopi Sundar, and cinematography by KU Mohanan.
Family Star is scheduled for a Sankranti 2024 theatrical release and will be produced by Dil Raju’s SVC Creations.
