Krrish 4 is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language superhero action film starring Hrithik Roshan and the fourth cinematic entry in the Krrish franchise after Koi… Mil Gaya (2003), Krrish (2006), and Krrish 3 (2013). The franchise also includes J Bole Toh Jadoo, an animated / live-action spin-off show that originally aired on Nickelodeon (India) in 2004, and Cartoon Network’s animated television film series Kid Krrish.
Rakesh Roshan, the writer, director, and producer of the earlier entries in the franchise and Hrithik’s father, made it clear as early as 2013 that he wanted to develop a fourth Krrish film. If you are curious about when Krrish 4 is coming out, you have come to the right place.

Is there a Krrish 4 release date?
Krrish 4 could arrive by 2025 at the earliest.
About a decade has passed since the above-mentioned announcement and Krrish 4 is yet to be released. However, over the years, the Roshans have repeatedly confirmed that the film will be made at some point. All the previous three cinematic entries were extremely successful at the box office, so, despite the delay, Krrish 4 was always an eventuality.
In June 2021, celebrating 15 years of Krrish, Hrithik Roshan teased the fourth film in a Twitter (now known as X) post. Speaking to India Today in August 2023, Rakesh Roshan reiterated that Krrish 4 was happening, before expressing his concerns about how volatile the entertainment industry had become in recent years.
“We are absolutely ready to take the step forward,” the actor-turned-filmmaker continued. “However, looking at the situation today where films are not doing well and collections are not matching the production costs, we are not immediately looking at it. It is going to happen, but not for a year. Probably after that.”
In the same month, he told Pinkvilla that the script of Krrish 4 was “magical,” effectively indicating that the screenplay was ready. “Nothing can stop a film from creating magic if the script is good. I am sure, our script will catch the [audience’s] attention in the first 15 minutes. The Krrish 4 script is magical,” Rakesh Roshan said.
In September 2023, ETimes reported that the pre-production work for Krrish 4 had begun, and the filming was slated to begin later this year. Karan Malhotra, known for Agneepath and Shamshera, will direct the film. The film’s recce was done in Iceland. Filming for Krrish 3 took over a year to complete, and several months were then spent in post-production as the film has a considerable number of visual effects. If Krrish 4 follows this pattern even without the delays that the production for the previous film experienced, it can be safely assumed that it is coming out in 2025 at the earliest.
