The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles brand has been having a strong year, especially with the release of the excellent Mutant Mayhem animated movie. Fans of the heroes in a half shell have been treated to plenty of branded merchandise and products, but the TMNT BlendJet 2 stands out as one of the more unique offerings. Coming in two stylish variants, the portable blender fully delivers.
The two TMNT BlendJet 2 variants are each based on a different animated series. The one I received was “Shredder’s Mind,” which features the classic 1987 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles logo emblazoned on it and features some lovely artwork showing all four turtles, Master Splinter, and April O’Neil as Shredder looks on from above. The top features a pizza pie and the New York City cityscape can be seen on the purple blender case.
Meanwhile, the “Colorful Ninjas” variant delivers exactly what you’d expect with all four of the Ninja Turtles’ signature colors on display. Taking cues from the 2012 series, it’s a more action-oriented design. Its cap is reminiscent of a manhole cover with “TMNT” written on it. Both are fun designs, which is important for a portable blender you’ll be carrying around, and it will depend on your own preferences and nostalgia as to which one you prefer.
What impressed me most about the TMNT BlendJet 2 is just how convenient it is. Built to be portable, it is lightweight at only 1.34 pounds and a single charge allows it to last for 15 blends. It’s a great part of a healthy lifestyle, as you can blend a healthy drink and take it with you, using the container for your drink. There are even optional accessories, such as the drinking lid and insulated sleeves, that will make it even more convenient to take around, plus different types of jars if you’re looking to do more heavy-duty blending.
From smoothies to milkshakes, I found myself impressed with how well the BlendJet 2 performed. The end result always came out great, as the food processor is able to tear through fruits and nuts without an issue. It’s also a shockingly quiet device, so you won’t look obnoxious while using it in public. Cleaning up is also simple as it’s a self-cleaning device — you just have to add water and soap, then have it blend. For pure convenience, the BlendJet 2 can’t be beat.
