After a strong first season, the Daisy Jones & the Six Season 2 release date has been highly anticipated. Prime Video came up with a new original series based on the novel of the same name, written by Taylor Jenkins Reid. In 1977, Daisy Jones & The Six became very popular and even sold out a show at Chicago’s Soldier Field. But then the band broke apart, and decades later, its members agreed to reveal the truth about their falling out. Fans enjoyed their story, but is the series returning for a second season?

Is there a Daisy Jones & the Six Season 2 release date?
No, there are no plans for Daisy Jones & the Six Season 2 after the first one ended on March 24, 2023.
Many fans had hoped for the series to continue with its second season. At Deadline’s Contenders Television panel earlier this year, showrunner Scott Neustadter teased that he had many ideas for season 2 and beyond. He said:
“What’s cool is that the show does have an ending that hopefully is satisfying. We answered all the questions that we raised, but I do think on the way out the door, we asked a few new questions. That’s always my favorite kind of ending. There’s an opportunity to keep telling the story; obviously, we’d want to talk with Taylor.”
Additionally, the book’s author and producer of the series Taylor Jenkins Reid also confirmed that she was thinking about season 2 and what it could be like. But despite the positive intent of the two creatives, Prime Video did not renew the series for a second season.
It is possible for the streaming service to do that in the future if Reid and Neustadter can come up with a concrete story. But, given that it hasn’t happened until now, it will likely never.
