Spider-Man: Freshman Year’s release date could be sometime in 2024.
After its announcement on Disney+ Day 2021, updates on the upcoming animated Spider-Man series have been scarce. It is deep into its development right now, and fans will be happy to know that it will arrive sometime in 2024.
A release window for it hasn’t been revealed officially yet. However, industry insider KC Walsh claimed in March 2023 that the series is eyeing a late-2024 release. But with the ongoing writers’ and actors’ strikes, and MCU’s packed schedule in 2024, it’s possible for Spider-Man: Freshman Year to be pushed to 2025.

Not a lot is known about the story yet. It was initially revealed that we’ll see the tale of how Peter Parker became Spider-Man before the events of Captain America: Civil War.
However, considering the fact that the series involves Doc Ock, Scorpion, Chameleon, and several other Spider-Man villains that hadn’t been a part of the MCU in their full form before Civil War, it’s likely that the series takes place in an alternate reality in the MCU’s Multiverse. It may not be an Earth-616 story because it is also confirmed to involve Daredevil, who wasn’t around back in 2016 or earlier.
The cast of the series isn’t confirmed yet. However, it has been revealed that since Daredevil will show up, Charlie Cox will reprise his MCU role as Matt Murdock in it. He’d be joined by Paul F. Tompkins as Bentley Witman.
