The first look at Mr. & Mrs. Smith, starring Donald Glover and Maya Erskine, has been released. The series is set to release in November on Prime Video.
The official logline reads: “John and Jane Smith enter into a new phase of their marriage after agreeing to work as spies for a mysterious agency.”

What to Expect in Mr. & Mrs. Smith?
Glover and Erskine headline Mr. & Mrs. Smith as John and Jane Smith. The series is based on the 2005 film by Doug Liman starring Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. The action comedy about married assassins hired to kill each other was a huge box office hit, grossing $487 million against a $110 million budget.
Besides Glober and Erskine, the ensemble cast includes Michaela Coel, Parker Posey, Wagner Moura, Paul Dano, and John Turturro.
Mr. & Mrs. Smith is co-created and co-executive-produced by Glover and Francesca Sloane. Originally, Phoebe Waller-Bridge was set to co-create the series and star alongside Glover. However, the Dial of Destiny actress exited the project due to creative differences.
“I worked on that show for six months fully in heart and mind and really cared about it—still care about it,” Waller-Bridge said to Vanity Fair about her exit from Mr. & Mrs. Smith. “And I know it’s gonna be brilliant. But sometimes it’s about knowing when to leave the party. You don’t want to get in the way of a vision.”
