Disney 100th Anniversary Theatrical Rerelease Dates Set for The Lion King & 7 More

For Disney‘s 100th anniversary, they are rereleasing a few of their classic movies in theaters.

The Walt Disney Company was founded in 1923, and in the 100 years since its inception, Disney has become one of the most well-known companies in the world. As the owners of Walt Disney Animation, Pixar, Lucasfilm, Marvel, 20th Century Studios, and Searchlight Pictures, they are everywhere. Fortunately, they are celebrating their century in style.

Their first theatrical rerelease is the swashbuckling adventure movie Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (July 7 to July 20). Then, they will rerelease Toy Story (July 21 to August 3), the animated movie that started Pixar off with a bang. Afterward, we have the animated musicals Frozen (August 4 to August 17) and Beauty and the Beast (August 18 to August 31).

Following those will be the Pixar superhero movie The Incredibles (September 1 to September 14), followed by their fantasy movie Coco (September 15 to September 28). The last two movies will be their famous 1994 animated movie The Lion King (September 29 to October 12) and their musical Moana (October 13 to October 26).

Tickets are on sale here.

When will The Little Mermaid be on Disney Plus?

No official release date has been set, but it has been estimated to arrive anywhere from August 16 to August 30.
