The Fall Guy has had its first test screening reaction.
This upcoming action movie stars Ryan Gosling as a battered and past-his-prime stuntman who finds himself working on a movie set with the star for whom he doubled long ago and who replaced him. It is directed by David Leitch, who also directed Atomic Blonde, Deadpool 2, Hobbs & Shaw, and, most recently, Bullet Train.
The first reaction from a test screening has described the film as similar to the 2022 action-comedies Bullet Train and The Lost City. Gosling is said to have flat chemistry with co-star Emily Blunt. The action scenes are fun, and there’s a meta nature to having a movie stuntman as the lead character, especially with Leitch’s background in stuntwork.

The film is written by Drew Pearce (Iron Man 3, Hobbs & Shaw). It will release on March 1, 2024, by Universal Pictures.
