Apple TV Plus is investing in high-quality content, and the Silo series fits that label perfectly. Here’s when to watch the anticipated dystopian series starring Rebecca Ferguson.
When to watch and stream Silo on Apple TV Plus
Apple TV Plus released the first two installments of Silo at 3 a.m. ET / 12 a.m. PT on Friday, May 5. New episodes will follow every Friday until the series finale on June 30, 2023.
Graham Yost (The Americans, Slow Horses) wrote and created Silo (formerly titled Wool) based on Hugh Howey’s post-apocalyptic novel trilogy of the same name. It follows the journey of a couple trying to have a child in a dystopian future where humanity resides deep underground. All attempts to see the world above are heavily discouraged if not punished by death.
The series is led by Ferguson, best known for her recent role as Lady Jessica in Dune. In Silo, Ferguson portrays an engineer called Juliette, “who seeks answers about a loved one’s murder.” The Swedish actress’s credits include The White Queen (for which she received a Golden Globe nomination), The Greatest Showman, as well as Doctor Sleep, and Men in Black: International.
Silo also stars Tim Robbins (The Shawshank Redemption), Rashida Jones (The Office), David Oyelowo (Selma), Common (John Wick: Chapter 2), Harriet Walter (Ted Lasso), Avi Nash (The Walking Dead), Iain Glen (Game of Thrones), Shane McRae (Sneaky Pete), and more.
“In a ruined and toxic future, thousands live in a giant silo deep underground,” reads the logline. “After its sheriff breaks a cardinal rule and residents die mysteriously, engineer Juliette starts to uncover shocking secrets and the truth about the silo.”
The list of executive producers includes Ferguson, Yost, Ben Brafman, Jon Midlane, Fred Golan, Cassie Pappas, Fred Golan, Ingrid Escajeda, Remi Aubuchon, Hugh Howey, and Nina Jack. Brafman also produced the series with Aric Avelino and Joanna Thapa.
