Production on Chucky Season 3 is starting quite soon.
Series star Jennifer Tilly recently retweeted a fan’s post, confirming that production on the upcoming third season of SYFY and USA Network’s hit horror dramedy is currently scheduled to begin later this week on April 27. Further details about the plot and new characters for Chucky Season 3 are still being kept under wraps, but it’s expected to premiere sometime this year. The filming start date comes after five months since the series had wrapped up its 8-episode second season.
Chucky Season 3 stars Zackary Arthur, Bjorgvin Arnarson, Alyvia Alyn Lind, Devon Sawa, Lexa Doig, Barbara Alyn Woods, Christine Elis, Alex Vincent, and Rosemary Dunsmore, with franchise vets returning, such as Jennifer Tilly, Fiona Dourif, and Brad Dourif as the voice of the titular killer doll.
“After his diabolical plan to invade America’s children’s hospitals was foiled in season one, Chucky now seeks revenge on those he holds responsible: surviving teens Jake, Devon, and Lexy, along with his ex Tiffany, now his sworn enemy,” reads Season 2’s synopsis. “Meanwhile, can ‘Jevon’ make it as a couple in the face of adversity at their new Catholic school, not to mention a brand-new onslaught of terror from the demon doll?”
Chucky is created and executive produced by franchise creator Don Mancini, who is also serving as the showrunner and director. Executive producers are franchise producer and doll creator David Kirschner and Nick Antosca via his Eat the Cat production label.
