A fan-favorite education preschool animation series is getting its first feature film on Paramount+.
Starting on Friday, November 18, audiences can watch Blue’s Big City Adventure on the streaming service (sign-up for Paramount+ here). The Blue’s Clues movie is a hybrid live-action/animated film following Josh and Blue as they head to New York City, with the help of Steve and Joe, to audition for a big Broadway musical. Traci Paige Johnson created the beloved television series together with Todd Kessler and Angela C. Santomero. It features an animated blue-spotted female dog who leaves clues/pawprints for the host and viewers to solve throughout each episode.
“Blue’s Big City Adventure follows Josh, who gets the opportunity of a lifetime to audition for Rainbow Puppy’s Broadway musical, and Blue as they skidoo to New York City where they meet new friends and discover the magic of music, dance, and following one’s dreams,” reads the film’s synopsis. “The entire Blue’s Clues crew is reunited for this special movie event, with the beloved animated friends and all three hosts — Josh, Steve, and Joe — together for the first time in the Big Apple.”
Steve Burns hosted the first four seasons, which aired from 1996-2002. Steve wore a signature green-striped polo shirt and carried a Handy Dandy Notebook. Donovan Patton then took over the role of the host as Joe, Steve’s younger and taller brother. Patton only hosted the show’s fifth and sixth seasons from 2004 to 2006.
