A new Mindcage trailer for the upcoming psychological crime thriller has been released, showcasing the hunt for a copycat killer that unravels a huge mystery.

The film, which stars Martin Lawrence, Melissa Roxburgh, and John Malkovich, is directed by Mauro Borrelli. It follows the story of detectives Jake Doyle (Lawrence) and Mary Kelly (Roxburgh), who are on the hunt for a copycat killer and must speak with an incarcerated serial killer (Malkovich) known simply as “The Artist.”

“When a copycat murderer strikes, Detectives Jake Doyle and Mary Kelly seek help from an incarcerated serial killer called the Artist,” reads the official synopsis of the film. “As Mary delves deep into the Artist’s brilliant but twisted psyche, she and Jake get lured into a diabolical game of cat and mouse, racing against time to stay one step ahead of both criminals.”

Mindcage is set to release on December 16, 2022, and will be available in select theaters, as well as available via video on-demand.
