The game continues, and Isagi keeps an eye on Niko so he can block him if he has to. Niko talks to Isagi about Ego’s “find your weapon” speech. With one minute left in the game, Team Y uses their final resort, a revenge tactic. They start rushing toward the other side, leaving Team Z’s defense wide open. Instead of scoring the goal, Niko passes it to Ohkawa, where Isagi was waiting to block. Isagi acknowledges his similarities with Niko, which made him think that Niko would pass the ball. Team Z gets to counterattack, and Isagi scores a goal for the team, leading to their victory.
While celebrating, Kunigami and Gagamaru ask Isagi how he figured out where the ball would be. Kunigami points out that Isagi’s weapon is “smelling” a goal. In the evening, Isagi sees Chigiri in the monitoring room watching the game footage. Chigiri points out Isagi’s spatial awareness. In return, Isagi asks about Chigiri’s weapon, but he refuses to say it. He mentions suffering an ACL injury last year, which makes him afraid of getting injured again since it’ll stop him from playing soccer.
Meanwhile, Anri checks with Ego about Blue Lock’s first selection process. During practice, Ego updates Team Z on the rankings. The player rankings have also changed based on their play so far. Isagi shoots up to 265, meaning he’s the highest rank in his team. Ego tells them the next step: polish their weapon and make it stand out. Isagi decides to improve his physique, and the rest of his teammates follow after him.
