Netflix has announced that all 10 seasons, 236 episodes and 83 hours of the touchstone sitcom “Friends” will be available exclusively on Netflix starting January 1, 2015.

This marks the first time the iconic series will be available on a streaming subscription service. Created by David Crane and Marta Kauffman, “Friends” ran on NBC from September 22, 1994 to May 6, 2004, and starred Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer as six twenty-something Manhattan-ites who share in many dating and career misadventures. The show also served as something of a launching pad for Paul Rudd, who played Phoebe’s boyfriend and eventual husband Mike Hannigan throughout seasons 9 and 10.
