Overlord IV Episode 4 Recap
Before fighting at the coliseum, it is revealed that Ainz discreetly snuck into the Imperial Capital with Ainzach. Shortly after, Ainzach asks Ainz what his plan is, and Ainz says he wants to invite adventurers from the Empire into the Sorcerer Kingdom. Ainzach points out it might not be as easy a task as Ainz thinks. He also asks Ainz if the support Ainz promised to provide applies to new adventurers. In response, Ainz believes there should be an institution that will help adventurers develop themselves. Ainzach also suggests that Ainz should fight in the coliseum to exhibit his strength. He tells him about the Warrior King and offers to set up a meeting with the Warrior King’s promoter.
Ainz meets up with Fluder to ask for an update on his tasks. He hands him a Japanese book as a reward. Ainz and Ainzach meet with Osk, a merchant. Ainz looks at the weapons and notices there are runes on a weapon, which surprises him. Osk reveals the weapon was created in a dwarven rune workshop. During the meeting, Ainz tells Osk he wishes to fight the Warrior King. Osk is worried since Ainz is a king, but Ainz promises there is no need to worry. After a short discussion, Osk agrees to set up a fight, but there are restrictions and rules.
The fight between Ainz and the Warrior King begins. The Warrior King introduces himself as Go Gin, a war troll. The two strike a deal where the Warrior King will pledge loyalty to Ainz if Ainz wins, while the Warrior King gets to eat Ainz if he defeats Ainz. Ainz and the Warrior King exchange attacks, but Ainz’s strength remains unmatched despite limiting his powers. After Ainz kills the Warrior King, he makes an announcement and invites adventurers to join the Sorcerer Kingdom. He proves his strength once again by bringing the Warrior King back to life. Before Ainz says goodbye to Jircniv, Jircniv asks him if the Baharuth Empire can become a vassal state of the Sorcerer Kingdom.
