As part of San Diego Comic-Con’s Marvel Animation panel, it was announced that the upcoming Marvel Zombies series will be rated TV-MA. The main heroes and villains of the series were also shown to attendees.

Given the intense and naturally violent premise of the series, it makes sense that Marvel Zombies will be rated TV-MA. The episode of What If…? that precedes the upcoming show was not TV-MA, however, so it’s likely that the full series will be more graphic than said episode.
In the tweets below, you can see both the protagonists and antagonists of the series. The villains include zombie versions of Abomination, Scarlet Witch, Captain Marvel, and more. On the other hand, the pictured heroes include Shang-Chi, Kate Bishop, Jimmy Woo, and Red Guardian.

Marvel Zombies is an animated series that follows the premise established by an episode from What If…?‘s first season. According to the synopsis, the series “reimagines the Marvel Universe as a new generation of heroes battle against an ever-spreading zombie scourge.” The show is directed by executive producer Bryan Andrews and written by executive producer Zeb Wells.
