Gotham Knights Reveal Coming Regarding Nightwing & Red Hood

Gotham Knights Reveal Regarding Nightwing & Red Hood Coming Soon

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has been fittingly secretive about Gotham Knights, its upcoming Batman-adjacent game about the Court of Owls starring Nightwing, Red Hood, Batgirl, and Robin. But the company is taking part of the mask off on May 10, as it is teasing an announcement of some kind.

The tweet from the game’s official Twitter account doesn’t say much, only that the reveal coming on May 10 at 6 a.m. PT will likely concern Nightwing and Red Hood. It implies that the studio will show players the powers the two will have, which have rarely been shown in the scant gameplay clips that have gone around.

There have been two other rumors about the game, but the tweet didn’t hint that it would be answering either. As noted by PCGamesN, a Reddit user noticed that the PlayStation Store listing for the game said it supported up to four players. However, as stated by an update on that same article, Warner Bros. confirmed that the game still has two-player co-op in the campaign, but hasn’t ruled out other modes. The above picture also seems to suggest a two-on-two mode. Regardless, the game’s PlayStation Store listing has also been updated to say it only supports two players.

There have also been rumblings regarding the platforms it will be on. According to DualShockers, the Taiwanese video game ratings board has an entry for the game, but it only lists the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions, insinuating that the PS4 and Xbox One ports have been canceled. It’s unclear if that was a mistake or a premature indication that those on the last generation of systems wouldn’t be able to play the game on the hardware it was originally announced for. The game’s aforementioned listing on the PlayStation Store doesn’t have platforms attached to it, either, and current official information about the game seems to abstain from mentioning platforms of any kind.

It’s up in the air on what it means, but Warner Bros. does have both cross-generational games and current-gen exclusives. Hogwarts Legacy is planned for both generations while Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is only on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The game’s official Twitter account also retweeted a Summer Game Fest tweet that features the game, which means Warner Bros. probably has something to say next month.
