During a program celebrating the Sailor Moon anime’s monumental 30th anniversary, it was announced that the final Sailor Moon manga arc will be adapted as a two-part anime film. Titled Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Cosmos the Movie, the two-part movie will adapt the Shadow Galactica arc of the manga and will release in Japan in early summer 2023.

Both films will be directed by Tomoya Takahashi for Toei Animation, with the scripts being written by Kazuyuki Fudeyasu. The poster for the film was unveiled as well, which you can see below. An official website also went live, but keep in mind that it’s entirely in Japanese.

This conclusion to Sailor Moon comes after Pretty Guardians Sailor Moon Eternal The Movie premiered on Netflix last June after three seasons of Sailor Moon Crystal. The previous two-part film covered the “Dream” story arc of the series and can be viewed alongside Crystal on Netflix now.
