In celebration of the International Transgender Day of Visibility, Hulu has dropped the official First Day Season 2 trailer for the return of the acclaimed coming-of-age series. Starring Evie Macdonald, new episodes of First Day are now available for streaming on Hulu.

First Day is an Australian drama that centers around a teenage transgender girl who takes on the challenges of growing up and being in high school. The series stars Evie Macdonald, Joanne Hunt, Brenna Harding, Anthony Brandon Wong, Mark Saturno, Ethan Gilford, Elena Liu, Nandini Rajagopal, Arwen Diamond, and more.
“In Season 2, in her second year at Hillview, Hannah’s run for Class Captain exposes an underlying level of transphobia among her classmates,” reads the synopsis. “She starts a group for LGBTQIA+ students but risks alienating her closest friends in the process.”
In 2020, the first season won an International Emmy Kids Award for Best Live-Action Series, a GLAAD Media Award (Children and Youth), which honors media for their fair, accurate, and inclusive representations of the LGBTQIA+ community, and the Kidscreen Award for Best Live-Action Series.

First Day is a ground-breaking and internationally acclaimed 4-part children’s series produced by South Australia’s Epic Films in association with Kojo Studios. It is directed, written, and co-produced by Julie Kalceff.
