The Now is written and directed by Oscar-winning duo Peter Farrelly and Bobby Farrelly. The limited series will be led by Dave Franco in his second major TV role since starring in the final season of the hit medical comedy-drama Scrubs which ran on-air for nine seasons from 2001-2009.

“The dark comedy examines what exactly makes life worth living through the eyes of Ed Poole, reads the synopsis. “For Ed, life isn’t going as he planned. However, a tragic event causes him to rethink his outlook, forcing him to go after what he loves, cherish the people closest to him and live in The Now.”

Joining him are O’Shea Jackson Jr, Jimmy Tatro, and Daryl Hannah, who are set as series regulars, while Bill Murray, Alyssa Milano, Pete Davidson, and Rob Yang will star in recurring roles.
