A new photo of Pablo Schreiber suited up as Master Chief in Paramount+’s upcoming series adaptation of Halo has been released (via EW). You can check out the photo below:

Schreiber also shared with the outlet that the upcoming drama is a “classic hero’s journey” that will “crack the veneer” of the character.
“It takes place very much in the universe that the video games created, but it’s a TV show,” said Schreiber. “We get to expand that universe and create stories in it. There’s going to be some new characters that are introduced, there’s going to be a lot of familiar characters that everyone will know from the game.”
In the series adaptation, Halo will take place in the universe that first came to be in 2001, dramatizing an epic 26th-century conflict between humanity and an alien threat known as the Covenant. Halo will weave deeply drawn personal stories with action, adventure, and a richly imagined vision of the future.
Schreiber (13 Hours, American Gods, Orange Is the New Black) plays Master Chief, the iconic Spartan super soldier and humanity’s last hope against the alien Covenant. Joining him are Natasha McElhone (Californication) as both Dr. Catherine Halsey and Cortana, Bokeem Woodbine (Overlord) as Soren-066, Shabana Azmi (Fire) as Admiral Margaret Parangosky, Bentley Kalu (Avengers: Age of Ultron) as Spartan Vannak-134, Natasha Culzac (The Witcher) as Spartan Riz-028, Kate Kennedy (Catastrophe) as Spartan Kai-125, and more.
Otto Bathurst (Robin Hood, Peaky Blinders, Black Mirror) will be directing and executive producing Paramount+’s adaptation of the Halo series. Jonathan Liebesman, Roel Reiné, and Jessica Lowrey also direct. Based on the award-winning and record-shattering Xbox franchise, the 10-episode season will be written by showrunner and executive producer Kyle Killen (Awake) who co-created the series along with fellow writer and executive producer Steven Kane.
Halo is produced by Showtime in association with Microsoft and 343 Industries, along with Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Television. Justin Falvey and Darryl Frank will executive produce for Amblin Television. The series is set to premiere in 2022.
